Quick close

The quick close feature of NetSupport ServiceDesk allows a ServiceDesk Operator to quickly record and close a new item at the same time. This is often useful if a user calls with a problem and the ServiceDesk Operator resolves the problem immediately.

To quick close a new item

  1. Create a new Incident, Problem or Change Request and complete all the required information.

  2. Click the Quick Close icon. This displays the Quick close page.

  3. Add a solution by selecting the required one from the Resolution Code drop-down list.

  4. A comment can be added, if required. This comment is added to the additional information of the item.

    Note: A selection of variables can be included (the variable data value is inserted). You can select these from the Variables drop-down list.
  5. The time taken is displayed. This is then added to the total time taken in the item. If required, you can pause or reset the timer.

  6. Once complete, click Save. Closed items can still be viewed in the item list by checking the Show Closed option.
