Associating a shared file to an item
If you have already added a file to one item as a shared file, this file can then be associated to other items. Only ServiceDesk Operators can associate an existing file with an item.
To associate an existing shared file to a Item

Open the item that the file needs associating to.

Click the Add files icon on the toolbar. This opens a new window displaying four options.

Select the Associate an Existing file to item xxx option and click Next.

A Tree view of shared file folders and a file list displaying the contents of the selected file folder appears.

Selecting a folder displays a list of all the shared files that have been uploaded to that folder. Select the required file from the list and click Next.

A Summary page appears, displaying the details of the associated file.

Click Finish. The Add File window is closed and the item is saved.
