Adding a link to a cloud file

Rather than uploading a file to an item, you can add a link directly to a file stored in the cloud.

Note: Only ServiceDesk Operators can add a link to a cloud file.

To add a link to a cloud file

  1. Open the item that you want to add a file to.

  2. Click the Add Files icon on the toolbar. This opens a new window displaying four options.

  3. Select Add a link to a cloud file to xxx and click Next.

  4. Enter the file name, URL of the file and, if required, a description.

  5. Click Finish. The File Upload window is closed and the item is saved.

Note: Files can also be added when creating a new item. Follow steps 2-5 when in the new item window.
