Change Advisory Board

A Change Advisory Board (CAB) is the body that needs to authorise a Change Request. A CAB can be created for each category that is displayed for Change Requests. Each member of the CAB can be assigned a "weighting" relevant to their role in the change process.

Categories that are displayed for Change Requests will have a Change Advisory Board tab displayed. From here, you can add the members required to authorise the Change Request. If a CAB member must authorise the change, ensure the mandatory field next to the member is selected.

All members of the CAB must authorise the Change Request before it is approved.

Weight required to authorise or deny the Change Request

Optionally, there may be occasions where you are happy for the change to proceed without 100% CAB approval. A "weighting" limit can be applied and, once met, the Change Request will be authorised.

Note: This option will only be displayed when All members must authorise Change Requests is unchecked.

The Change Request will show whom authorisation is required from and the current status. The category, priority, status, assignee or due date can only be changed by CAB members until it's been approved by all required members.
