Assigning hardware

If the integration with NetSupport DNA for Inventory information is enabled, you can assign a device from the NetSupport DNA Hierarchy to an item in NetSupport ServiceDesk.

If a user has a NetSupport DNA Client installed on their machine when they create an item, the Inventory data for that machine is automatically associated with the item.

If a ServiceDesk Operator is creating the new item on a machine that has a NetSupport DNA Client installed, then the Inventory data is not automatically associated, but the Operator can then select a machine from the NetSupport DNA hierarchy by clicking on the Select a Different PC icon on the inventory tab.
